Mr. Stripey is an heirloom tomato, that both a looks and tastes great.  The beefsteak-like tomato grows with yellow and red stripes, making it a great addition to vegetable platters or other displays.  Mr. Stripey has a mild, low-acidic taste that goes well with sandwiches or cooked dishes alike.  Fruits grow to around 16 oz each, Ready to harvest in 80 days.

Planting instructions: Start Mr. Stripey tomato heirloom seeds indoors 5-8 weeks before last spring frost in a sunny, warm location in pots or flats. Transplant tomato plant to a sunny, well drained location in the late spring when the cultivated and enriched with organic material ground is warm and all danger of frost is past. The transplanted plants should be about 5-12 inches tall. Tomatoes can be sown directly into the garden when the soil and weather is warm.Staking tomatoes upright or using a wire cage will increase production.

Care:Water lightly to keep soil moist. Control weeds with cultivation or mulch.

Harvesting: Pick heirloom tomatoes when fruits ripen. In late fall before any frost, green tomatoes can be picked and ripened in a warm area.

Nutritional Value: Mr. Stripey tomatoes are an excellent source of Vitamins: A, & C and contains B, calcium. Iron, and potassium.

Collecting Seed: Select a striped, very mature Mr. Stripey tomato and remove seeds. Allow seeds to dry on a paper towel or cloth.
