Beans: Garden Bean Seeds
Like peas these amazing bean plants not only give you great harvests of bean pods used hot cold or raw, they will even fix the nitrogen in the soil giving whatever seeds you plant the following year a leg up. Because of this, beans are an ideal crop to rotate with corn or other heavy feeders.
There are two main groups of beans; bush beans and pole beans. Bush beans, such as Blue Lake and Topcrop grow in a bush form and do not require any kind of support. They are start producing earlier and tend to produce beans all at once. While pole beans such as Kentucky Wonder and Scarlett runner need support and need to grow the vines before beginning to produce bean pods although the difference isn’t often very large. Pole beans grown from seed will also continue to produce for a longer period of time. Pole beans can be fun to trellis on a teepee of poles where kids can climb in and pick the beans that hang inside the teepee and adults can also reach in to harvest them as well.
Bean seeds are most often direct planted in the garden after the risk of frost. Bean seeds will rot in soil that is too cold.

Gardening Tips
Many factors can affect the germination and growth of your garden or flower seeds. Try some of these suggestions to improve your seeds' chance of success:- Sometimes some seeds should soak in water for 4-6 hours before planting seeds in ground.
- Store seeds in cool dry location to prevent seeds germinating prematurely.
- Water freshly planted seeds or newly transplanted plants heavily.
- Use mulch around base of developing plants to prevent weeds.
- Compost your grasses, leaves etc before trying to grow vegetables or flowers that need rich soil.
