The Diamonte series diascia is a early blooming variety with great branches and blooms for container gardening. The branches cascade downward, making it a great hanging plant. Long blooming flowers grow up to 1" across on a 10" plant. Diascia survives well in cooler weather or light frost.

Planting:Diascia can be planted outdoors as early as 8 weeks before the last frost. Place in light sun to partial shade.
Germination: Seeds usually take about 8 days to sprout. Warming soil with plastic or other coverings can help germination.
Transplant:When danger of frost is over, transplant to garden as close as 9" apart.
Soil and Light:Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy for best growth. Fertilize container plants with low nitrogen fertilizer. Collecting cuttings from the plant is the easiest way to continue propagating plant.
