Planting:Annual flowers like Alyssum do well when planted indoors and then transplanted outside. Small seeds can usually be just sprinkled over top of the soil while larger seeds can be planted 1/4-1/2" deep. Alyssum is also fairly tolerant of cool spring weather.
Germination: Seeds usually take 7 to 14 days to sprout.
Transplant:When danger of frost is over, transplant to garden as close as 1" apart.
Soil and Light:Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy. Alyssum will do best in a well drained soil and will need plenty of water during hot spells. The plant likes partial shade and will produce flowers profusely if dead blooms are removed.

Gardening Tips
Many factors can affect the germination and growth of your garden or flower seeds. Try some of these suggestions to improve your seeds' chance of success:- Sometimes some seeds should soak in water for 4-6 hours before planting seeds in ground.
- Store seeds in cool dry location to prevent seeds germinating prematurely.
- Water freshly planted seeds or newly transplanted plants heavily.
- Use mulch around base of developing plants to prevent weeds.
- Compost your grasses, leaves etc before trying to grow vegetables or flowers that need rich soil.
