The Balsam flower is a subspecies of impatiens with small beautiful flowers. The Bush Flowering Mixture grows to 14" tall with double flowers at the top of the plant. The flowers come in pink, rose, and white and thrive in humid weather. Originally from southern Asia, it is a great choice for extra humid climates or warm areas.

Planting:Balsam is a full sun plant with beautiful flowers. A good plant for attracting bees and butterflies making it perfect for the wildflower garden. The Balsam plant will not tolerate frost or cold very well as it is a warm weather plant.
Germination: Seeds usually take 7 to 14 days to sprout.
Transplant:When danger of frost is over, transplant to garden as close as 12" apart.
Soil and Light:Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy. Balsam will need plenty of water during hot spells. Plant will self-seed for the next season if flowers left to die on stalk.

Gardening Tips
Many factors can affect the germination and growth of your garden or flower seeds. Try some of these suggestions to improve your seeds' chance of success:- Sometimes some seeds should soak in water for 4-6 hours before planting seeds in ground.
- Store seeds in cool dry location to prevent seeds germinating prematurely.
- Water freshly planted seeds or newly transplanted plants heavily.
- Use mulch around base of developing plants to prevent weeds.
- Compost your grasses, leaves etc before trying to grow vegetables or flowers that need rich soil.
