Nutritional Value: A rich source of Iron, Calcium, and Vitamins: A, B1, B2, C, and Niacin. Collecting Seed: Biennial plant that produces a seed stalk the second year. Selected roots need to be kept cool and moist. Protect first year Golden Detroit root from winter freezing by burying in sand or leaving it in ground covered with heavy mulch.
