Nutritional Value: A excellent source of Iron, Calcium, and Vitamins: A, B1, B2, C, and Niacin. Collecting Seed:Danvers carrot is a biennial plant that produces a seed stalk the second year. Selected roots need to be kept cool and moist. Protect first year root from winter freezing by burying in sand or leaving it in ground covered with heavy mulch. Seed heads form after summer growth.
