Planting:Dianthus is a fairly low maintenance flower with a bloom time from late spring to summer depending on the planting time. Plant outside after frosts are over and soil is warmed. Plant may be grown in containers or indoors.
Germination: Seeds usually take about 8 days to sprout. Warming soil with plastic or other coverings can help germination.
Transplant:When danger of frost is over, transplant to garden as close as 6" apart.
Soil and Light:Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy for best growth. Deadheading will encourage blooms. Seed pods will grow on plant and can be collected for next year's seeds. (Supra Purple generally does not reproduce true to seed)

![Delivery was quick and the product was in perfect condition.
The germination rate was fantastic for both varieties (95%+) much better than I am used to from other seed suppliers.

Gardening Tips
Many factors can affect the germination and growth of your garden or flower seeds. Try some of these suggestions to improve your seeds' chance of success:- Sometimes some seeds should soak in water for 4-6 hours before planting seeds in ground.
- Store seeds in cool dry location to prevent seeds germinating prematurely.
- Water freshly planted seeds or newly transplanted plants heavily.
- Use mulch around base of developing plants to prevent weeds.
- Compost your grasses, leaves etc before trying to grow vegetables or flowers that need rich soil.
