Gretel Hybrid Eggplant Seeds

The Gretel hybrid is a new variety that has glossy white fruits. The fruits are tender and delicious even past the ideal size of 3-4" long. The plant adapts well to growing in containers or pots. The Gretel hybrid is an All-American Selections winner for 2009.
Planting instructions:Gretel eggplants do well in the heat and humidity. Start seeds indoor, 6-8 weeks before last frost, if you live in a colder climate. Place seeds or transplants in a rich, well-drained soil. Eggplants will thrive when the soil is enriched with manure or compost. Plants are easily damaged by wind and frost.

Harvesting: Cut fruits from plant when they reach full color. Nutritional Value:High in Dietary Fiber, Folate, Potassium, Manganese, Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Thiamin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Magnesium Collecting Seed: Seeds are mature when fruit falls off plant on it's own. Scoop out Gretel eggplant seeds and place in bowl of water for several days to separate seeds from pulp. Dry seeds and store.
