Planting instructions:Gretel eggplants do well in the heat and humidity. Start seeds indoor, 6-8 weeks before last frost, if you live in a colder climate. Place seeds or transplants in a rich, well-drained soil. Eggplants will thrive when the soil is enriched with manure or compost. Plants are easily damaged by wind and frost.
Care: Keep Gretel eggplant well watered and use grass clippings or straw around base of plant.
Harvesting: Cut fruits from plant when they reach full color.
Nutritional Value:High in Dietary Fiber, Folate, Potassium, Manganese, Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Thiamin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Magnesium
Collecting Seed: Seeds are mature when fruit falls off plant on it's own. Scoop out Gretel eggplant seeds and place in bowl of water for several days to separate seeds from pulp. Dry seeds and store.

Gardening Tips
Many factors can affect the germination and growth of your garden or flower seeds. Try some of these suggestions to improve your seeds' chance of success:- Sometimes some seeds should soak in water for 4-6 hours before planting seeds in ground.
- Store seeds in cool dry location to prevent seeds germinating prematurely.
- Water freshly planted seeds or newly transplanted plants heavily.
- Use mulch around base of developing plants to prevent weeds.
- Compost your grasses, leaves etc before trying to grow vegetables or flowers that need rich soil.
