Planting:Lavender germination can be slow and difficult. Seeds with very hard seed coats should be soaked overnight in warm water. Start seeds in pots or plants containing a lightweight sterilized soil mix. Cover twice their thickness with soil.
Germination: Seeds take 14 to 21 days to sprout.
Transplant: As seedlings appear, gradually expose to direct light. When lavender is large enough to handle, transplant to pots. After spring frosts transplant to garden 12 to 36” apart.
Soil and Light:Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy.

Gardening Tips
Many factors can affect the germination and growth of your garden or flower seeds. Try some of these suggestions to improve your seeds' chance of success:- Sometimes some seeds should soak in water for 4-6 hours before planting seeds in ground.
- Store seeds in cool dry location to prevent seeds germinating prematurely.
- Water freshly planted seeds or newly transplanted plants heavily.
- Use mulch around base of developing plants to prevent weeds.
- Compost your grasses, leaves etc before trying to grow vegetables or flowers that need rich soil.
