Salinas Lettuce Seeds

The Salinas Lettuce variety has a large, slow bolting head. The heads are also resistant to tip-burn. Salinas is a great crisp-head variety for areas with hard winters or short growing seasons.
Planting instructions:Plant Salinas lettuce very early in the spring in a sunny location as soon as the ground may be cultivated and enriched with organic material. Press soil firmly over seeds. Sow seeds sparingly and repeat every two weeks as long as the weather is cool (Spring/Fall)

Harvesting: Cut off 1-2 inches above the ground or pull the entire plant. Nutritional Value:A excellent source of Chlorophyl, Iron, Calcium, and Vitamins: A, B1, B2, C, and Niacin. Collecting Seed: Allow several Salinas lettuce plants to produce flower seedstalks. A dandelion type flower head is formed after the plant blooms. Salinas seeds will separate from the chaff by rubbing flower head with your fingers. Store in a cool , dry area.
