The Ambrosia hybrid cantaloupe is a hearty melon that is well suited to colder regions. The thick peach-colored flesh has a small seed cavity and delicious taste. The melons grow to about 6" across. The cantaloupe plant is resistant to powdery mildew disease.

Care:Be sure Ambrosia cantaloupe plant stays well watered through warm times. Elevate melons or place barrier between melons and damp ground to protect them. Harvesting: Cut cantaloupes off vine carefully with a knife to prevent damage. Nutritional Value:Great source of vitamins A and C Collecting Seed: Wait until the vine attached to Ambrosia cantaloupe has dried, then remove cantaloupe and set it aside for 3 weeks. Cut open cantaloupe and scoop out seeds from center of melon.
