Beefsteak Tomato Seeds

The Beefsteak tomato is an large tomato that's great for slicing or sandwiches. The fruits are very meaty and have small seed cavities. The Beefsteak is a great tomato for eating plain.
Planting instructions:Start Beefsteak tomato seeds indoors 5-8 weeks before last spring frost in a sunny, warm location in pots or flats. Transplant to a sunny, well drained location in the late spring when the cultivated and enriched with organic material ground is warm and all danger of frost is past. The transplanted plants should be about 5-12 inches tall. Beefsteak tomatoes can be sown directly into the garden when the soil and weather is warm. Double hill planting ( 6 inches apart) and staking tomatoes upright or use a wire cage to increase production.

Harvesting: Pick Beefsteak tomatoes when fruit turn red. In late fall before any frost, green tomatoes can be picked and ripened in a warm area. Nutritional Value: An excellent source of Vitamins: A, & C and contains B, calcium. Iron, and potassium. Collecting Seed: Select a red, very mature Beefsteak tomato and remove seeds. Allow seeds to thoroughly dry on a paper towel or cloth.
