The Flowering Dogwood is a versatile tree that grows up and down the eastern United States. Virginia and Missouri have the flowering dogwood as their state trees and it can be found in over 30 states. Dogwood grows white flowers in the spring, turns beautiful fall foliage, and reaches up to 25 feet tall. Dogwood will grow just about anywhere but does better in well drained soils rather than damp, wet soil.

Gardening Tips
Many factors can affect the germination and growth of your garden or flower seeds. Try some of these suggestions to improve your seeds' chance of success:- Sometimes some seeds should soak in water for 4-6 hours before planting seeds in ground.
- Store seeds in cool dry location to prevent seeds germinating prematurely.
- Water freshly planted seeds or newly transplanted plants heavily.
- Use mulch around base of developing plants to prevent weeds.
- Compost your grasses, leaves etc before trying to grow vegetables or flowers that need rich soil.
