Planting instructions:Plant Purple Vienna seeds very early in the spring in a sunny location as soon as the ground may be cultivated and enriched with organic material. Press soil firmly over seeds. Lots of water during the season will help to prevent a woody flavor.
Care: Place in fertile soil, keep free of weeds and water regularly for moist soil. Mulch with grass clippings.
Harvesting: Pull as Purple Vienna bulbs reach about 2" across.
Nutritional Value: An excellent source of vitamin C.
Collecting Seed: Seed pods will dry on plant, pick Purple Vienna seed pods when dry and break pods to get seed.
